A propósito de la celebración de los 50 años de los estudios de Pedagogía, durante los días 15 y 16 de mayo de 2024 se desarrolló el Simposio Internacional sobre el Doctorado en Educación, Conocimiento y Acción Transformadora, organizado por la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (USC). En dicha instancia, Amanda Barría Cárdenas, investigadora asociada al Centro Educación y Cultura Americana (CECA) y doctoranda del programa Educación y Sociedad de la Universidad de Barcelona, presentó el póster titulado “Educación para la ciudadanía en la formación inicial de Pedagogía en Historia y Ciencias Sociales. Las voces del profesorado principiante egresado de la Universidad de Valparaíso (UV)”.
El póster abordó los principales resultados obtenidos en el Trabajo Final de Máster desarrollado por Amanda, lo cual representa los primeros acercamientos al desarrollo de su actual tesis doctoral. El contenido indaga sobre las perspectivas que posee el profesorado egresado de la UV respecto a su posicionamiento historiográfico, político e ideológico de los conceptos de ciudadanía, democracia y participación y, por otra parte, se presentan las ideas educativas, pedagógicas y didácticas de la formación ciudadana. Pero ¿cuánto ha influido la formación docente en estas concepciones? representa otras de las grandes temáticas de esta presentación.
