La mañana del día jueves 07 de marzo, el Coordinador del Centro de Educación y Cultura Americana CECA, Benjamín Silva y la investigadora asociada Mg en Historia, Geraldine Sandoval se reunieron con la encargada del Centro de Documentación de Fundación Integra, Mariela Salgado Alarcón.
En esta visita, los investigadores pudieron constatar la existencia de una colección de bibliografía específica sobre infancia, incluyendo una serie de memorias que cuentan la historia de Fundación Integra desde su origen como FUNACO. Destaca en esta colección la publicación de un libro de entrevistas a educadoras que fueron parte del desarrollo de la fundación titulado “Nuestra historia en la voz de sus protagonistas” que se constituye como parte importante del patrimonio pedagógico del país.
En la instancia, Benjamín Silva en representación de CECA hizo entrega de la colección “Historia social de la educación chilena”, una de las principales obras realizadas por el Centro de Educación y Cultura Americana, para que pase a formar parte de la importante recopilación que el Centro de Documentación de Fundación Integra ha realizado hasta ahora.
Finalmente se creó una alianza para poder utilizar la información disponible para enriquecer el desarrollo del proyecto de investigación sobre educación inicial, con miras a crear un escrito en conjunto con la Fundación.
